CGA-BC Announces 2013 Chair and Executive Committee

VANCOUVER, Jan. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - The Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia (CGA-BC) is pleased to announce that Candace Nancke, FCGA, has been elected Chair of the Association's Board of Governors for 2013.
Mrs. Nancke is the Managing Partner with the firm of Loren, Nancke & Company, Certified General Accountants in North Vancouver and New Westminster. As Chair of CGA-BC, she will lead an Association that represents nearly 15,000 members and students and supports the fastest growing professional accounting designation in B.C.
Joining Mrs. Nancke on the Association's Executive Committee are:
- David Sale, DiplT, MBA, FCGA, who will serve as First Vice-Chair. Mr. Sale is a faculty member at Kwantlen Polytechnic University's School of Business.
- Cindy Choi, BAccS, FCGA, who will serve as Past-Chair and Treasurer. Ms. Choi is a Partner with Chan Choi & Company, Certified General Accountants in Victoria.
- Gordon Ruth, BA, FCGA, who will serve as Secretary of the Board of Governors. Mr. Ruth is the Association's Chief Executive Officer.

As the province's largest professional accounting association, CGA-BC represents nearly 15,000 CGAs and students. Members work in industry, commerce, government and in public practice. The Association promotes the excellence of its members and advances the accounting profession through education, certification and the protection of the public interest.
