MONTRÉAL, Dec. 21, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) today announced the release of its 2015 Annual Review, which captures insights from CGI's 2015 Voice of Our Clients program and provides an overview of how CGI is partnering to help clients address rapidly changing market and industry dynamics. The insights from the interviews uncovered that, globally, clients are focused on becoming customer-centric digital organizations to meet the ever-increasing expectations of consumers and citizens anytime, anywhere.
Through the annual Voice of Our Clients program, CGI's consultants around the world meet with clients in person to have in-depth conversations on top industry trends and clients' top business and IT priorities. In 2015, CGI held 965 client interviews—44% with business executives and 56% with IT leaders—across 10 industries and 17 countries.
Driving the digital mind-set are increasing demands from consumers and citizens who expect seamless, omni-channel and personal interaction with businesses and governments. Clients also face intensified regulatory requirements, cybersecurity risks and market disruption from new digital-first competitors.
Established client organizations are challenged with transforming to meet these new digital demands. Their business and IT platforms, which have been built and enhanced over many years to address point-in-time needs, add technical complexity and cost to their ability to fund and achieve digital transformation. From a cost perspective, 65% of clients cited that they have not been able to reduce costs and adjust their IT spend mix to support transformation investments. Approximately 18% of clients' CapEx budgets are allocated to support digital transformation, with nearly 60% of clients confirming they have digital transformation activities underway.
"We live in a society where everyone and everything is connected. The new digital transformation agenda of our clients aligns both the business and IT sides of their organizations and is central to reducing their costs to invest in transformation that accelerates their growth strategies," said Michael E. Roach, President and CEO, CGI. "For our clients, digital transformation is highly complex since it requires addressing their mature processes, tools, methodologies, data and technology infrastructures. The Annual Review highlights how we are engaged in helping clients with an effective response—one that leverages IT to lower the costs of running their business and provides the digital enablers to effectively change the organization."
The Annual Review 2015, which commemorates CGI's 40th year in business, includes a summary of the top industry trends and IT priorities for CGI's 10 focused industries, the areas of digital innovation and business outcomes that can be achieved within each, and examples of client success stories and testimonials.
