FAIRFAX, VA, Sept. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced it received its fourth consecutive "Best Fit Integrator" award from the Center for Digital Government (CDG). CGI was nominated for this award by the County of Orange, California, which utilizes the AMS Advantage enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for financial, budget, human resource, and procurement management. CGI was previously recognized as a best-fit ERP solution integrator by CDG and our clients in Los Angeles County, Calif., Monterey County, Calif. and City and County of Honolulu, HI, and Wake County, N.C.
The "Best Fit Integrator Performance Award" recognizes an integrator's role in delivering innovative yet practical solutions that have resulted in substantial improvement in financial or operational performance and service delivery capacity. A CGI client for 20 years, the County's ERP modernization and change management effort has automated business processes, expedited processing and approval of transactions, captured and centralized fragmented data, eliminated shadow systems, and ultimately reduced operating costs.
"Overall, it was our partnership with CGI that helped us identify, understand, and meet the challenges at hand," said David Sundstrom, (Elected) Auditor-Controller of Orange County, Calif. "CGI is in a unique position to deliver successfully with their deep understanding of public sector ERP as well as serving as both the developer and implementer of their built-for-government AMS Advantage solution."
"We are honored to receive recognition as a Best Fit Integrator from our clients for a fourth consecutive year," said Dave Delgado, Vice-President, CGI'. "CGI is deeply committed to our client's success and through partnership with them we seek to make even the most complex business transformation projects achievable for government.
