Champlain Bridge Corridor to be Avoided: Work BLITZ to continue this weekend starting on Friday night, May 25 Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, May 23, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to advise road users that the major work blitz will continue on the Champlain Bridge corridor during the upcoming weekend, beginning Friday night, May 25th. These work blitzes, contingent on the weather, will allow us to carry out paving work, repair the roadway, replace expansion joints as well as the central median.
During this period, only one lane will be open to circulation in each direction on Highway 15 between Atwater and L'Île-des-Sœurs Bridge. One or two lanes will be open on the Bridge, depending on the work schedule (please consult the detailed schedule below).
Like last weekend, it is important to note that during this period lane width will be reduced to 3 meters on the Champlain Corridor, in both directions. Vehicles exceeding this width should take alternate routes.
Also note that during this period, the access ramps to the Champlain Bridge via Route 132 will be completely closed, along with other ramps on Highway 15, on the Montreal side of the bridge (full details on www.champlainbridge.ca).
It is important to keep in mind that the schedule is subject to changes, depending on weather conditions. A notice will be published on our blog (www.champlainbridge.ca) around 3:30 p.m. every Friday with the latest updates.
