DRUMMONDVILLE, QC, Dec. 12, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - CVTech Group Inc. ("CVTech" or "the Corporation") (TSX: CVT) today announced changes to its Board of Directors.
In the first instance, the Corporation announced the resignation from the Board of Robert Beaudoin and André Lepage. Mr. Lepage had been a director of CVTech since the Corporation was listed on the TSX in April 2005. Mr. Beaudoin had been a director since May 2007. Their resignations are effective immediately.

Their astute recommendations, together with their professionalism, strategic vision and constant rigour in matters of governance, have fostered the evolution of the Corporation," said Jacques Joly, Chairman of the Board of CVTech.
The resulting Board vacancies have been filled by the appointment to the Board of Yves Filion and Pierre L. Gauthier, two outstanding managers with enviable reputations in the energy industry. These appointments are also effective immediately.
Mr. Filion is president of Yves Filion Consulting Inc., where he has carried out a number of assignments internationally in corporate governance, strategic planning and project management in the energy industry. He previously held senior management positions during a 35-year career with Hydro-Québec, where from 2001 to 2006 he was successively president of Hydro-Québec Distribution and president of Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie. A University of Sherbrooke graduate in civil engineering, Mr. Filion holds the title of Administrateur de sociétés certifié (certified company director) and has been chairman and member of a number of boards over the last 20 years. He is currently chairman of the board of Innoventé Inc. and a member of the boards of the Montreal Port Authority and Aéroports de Montréal.
Mr. Gauthier has been with the Alstom group since 1996. From 2008 to 2013 he was president and chief executive officer of Alstom Inc. (US) and has discharged the same responsibilities for Alstom Canada since 2003. Holder of a degree in mechanical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Mr. Gauthier had previously held a variety of management positions in marketing, technology, quality assurance and corporate management at ABB Canada Inc., Gaz Métropolitain Inc. and Gulf Canada Ltd. In the course of his career he has been a member of numerous boards and associations, including the Council on Competitiveness (U.S.), the National Electricity Roundtable (Canada) and the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
