TORONTO, Oct. 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Toronto's Number One Night of Entertainment, "It's Always Something", an evening of comedy, music and dance in support of Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, announces that Chantal Kreviazuk and Next Generation Leahy have been added to the star-studded line-up for the 14th annual Variety Show to take place on Wednesday, November 18th at Sony Centre for The Performing Arts.
Kreviazuk is an international superstar singer-songwriter with two June Awards to her credit and sales in the millions. Next Generation Leahy are the unique Celtic Music family of talented dancers and musicians who have entertained millions across Canada.
Kreviazuk and Next Generation Leahy join the host of this year's show, Canada's internationally acclaimed Gemini Award-winning comedian Russell Peters. Russell will be joined on Sony Centre's stage by another all-star cast of comedians, musicians and dancers. All are donating their time and talents to Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, a cancer care centre providing free social and emotional support programs for anyone touched by cancer - kids, teens and adults, along with their family and friends.
Joining Russell, Kreviazuk and Next Generation Leahy will be rising R&B superstar Francesco Yates, with material from his latest album produced by Pharrell; award-winning comedian, actor, musician and writer Sean Cullen; the master of improvisational comedy, Gemini Award-winning Colin Mochrie; acclaimed singer-songwriter Sam Drysdale; jazz singer-songwriter Barbra Lica and the amazing Raging Asian Women Taiko Drummers. And, as is its tradition, more talent will be announced as the show date nears, making "It's Always Something" one of the must-attend entertainment events of the year.
All proceeds from "It's Always Something" go to support Gilda's Club, Greater Toronto, named after famed Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner. In its 13 years, the show has raised more than $5 million to fulfill Gilda's wish that "no one should face cancer alone." www.gildasclubtoronto.org.
