TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - TVO is pleased to announce that Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) is the 2014 recipient of the TVO Caring Corporate Partner Award, recognizing CPA Ontario's outstanding and continued support of TVO's flagship current affairs program, The Agenda with Steve Paikin.
The TVO Caring Corporate Partner Award acknowledges the generous support it receives from private sector partners and the role they play in helping TVO deliver on its mission to make Ontarians smarter, more aware and more informed. CPA Ontario (registered name of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario) recently renewed its sponsorship of The Agenda with Steve Paikin for the sixth consecutive year.

CPA Ontario was presented with TVO's Caring Corporate Partner Award at a gala on November 6 in honour of TVO's founder, Bill Davis. The gala was a tribute to Mr. Davis for his pioneering vision in establishing Canada's first educational television service more than 40 years ago. Since then, TVO has evolved from a TV station to a multiplatform educational media organization for the digital age. The event, for which CPA Ontario was the presenting sponsor, was held at the Fermenting Cellar, Distillery District in Toronto, and was hosted by TVO's Steve Paikin.
