Cheering just got better with Bell's Virtual Cowbell

Bell Mobility clients can download no-charge app to get in the spirit for Canada's Games

VANCOUVER , Feb. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - Bell today announced the launch of a free virtual Cowbell mobile application that Bell Mobility clients can download to help cheer on Canadian athletes competing at the 2010 Winter Games.

Bell's Virtual Cowbell app lets clients display and ring their cowbell on select mobile phones and smartphones. For generations, ringing cowbells has been a favourite way for fans to cheer on cross-country and alpine skiers. Over time, the cowbell became ingrained in the culture of winter sports and remains the preferred way for Winter Olympics fans to encourage athletes competing in a wide range of sports.

The free virtual Cowbell app is available at bell.ca/cowbell (bell.ca/cloche in French) using your Bell Mobility mobile browser. Additional data usage charges may apply.
