PUBLIC LAUNCH OF MAJOR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
MONTRÉAL, Sept. 13, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - Chez Doris is inviting media representatives to a public launch of a major fundraising campaign on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in the Peace Garden of Dawson College in Montréal.
Chez Doris is facing unprecedented circumstances, particularly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization, which is expanding to meet the very pressing needs of vulnerable and homeless women in Montréal, is also dealing with a severe housing crisis. The results of the first phase of its major fundraising campaign Chez Doris, Day & Night, to be unveiled during the event, will allow the organization to offer more services to an increasingly diverse clientele. The organization understands only all too well, unfortunately, that these needs will continue to increase.
Marina Boulos-Winton, Executive Director at Chez Doris, will provide an overview of the situation, explain what new services will be offered and respond to media questions. She will also reveal the organization's first advertising campaign inviting Québecers to give generously, which will be rolled out across Québec's mainstream media. She will be accompanied by campaign fundraising co-presidents, Elizabeth Wirth, President, M.F. Wirth Rail Corp, and François Carrier, Head of Investment Banking & Co-Head of Capital Markets at Desjardins Capital Markets, numerous partners and private and public donors as well as Nathalie Goulet, City of Montréal executive committee member responsible for social inclusion, sports and recreation, the status of women, homelessness and youth.
