Chicago Captain Jonathan Toews Signs With Bauer Hockey
Stanley Cup Champion and Conn Smythe Winner Becomes Latest Elite Player to Join Bauer Family </pre> <p><span class="xn-location">CHICAGO</span>, <span class="xn-chron">Sept. 22</span> /CNW/ -- Bauer Hockey, Inc. today announced that <span class="xn-location">Chicago</span> Blackhawks <span class="xn-person">Captain Jonathan Toews</span> has joined the company's roster of athletes, becoming the latest elite player to ink an official endorsement deal with the world's leading designer and manufacturer of hockey equipment. Toews, who signed a five-year deal with the company, will exclusively wear Bauer equipment during the 2010-2011 NHL season and will work closely with Bauer's product development team to provide insight and feedback into future product direction.</p> <p/> <p>Toews led the Blackhawks to their first Stanley Cup in 49 years and earned the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player in the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The captain registered 25 goals and 43 assists in last year's championship season and led all Blackhawks with seven goals and 22 assists for 29 points in 22 playoff games.
