Children's Rehabilitation Foundation™ receives $250K grant to help children with disabilities in Manitoba
WINNIPEG, Nov. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - President's Choice® Children's Charity is pleased to grant $250K to Children's Rehabilitation Foundation™, a Manitoba-based charity, dedicated to helping children with disabilities and special needs be as independent as possible.
Children's Rehabilitation Foundation™ is 100% supported through the generosity of donors. With funds raised through special events, grants and donations, the Foundation purchases specialized equipment for children living with disabilities and special needs, and funds recreation and leisure programs modified for their special needs. One hundred per cent of funds raised by President's Choice® Children's Charity in Manitoba go directly toward supporting families whose children have physical or development disabilities, as well as nutrition programs aimed at fighting childhood hunger. In 2012, President's Choice® Children's Charity proudly granted more than $534,000 to 13 families and 124 nutrition programs, which feed over 17,500 children in Manitoba.
