CHJ Wins Runner-up in 2018 IASP Inspiring Solutions Program
SHANGHAI, Sept. 21, 2018 /CNW/ -- On September 4, at the 35th IASP (The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation) World Conference held in Isfahan, Iran, top 3 winners of 2018 IASP Inspiring Solutions Program were revealed. The contribution from Shanghai Caohejing Hi-tech Park: Thinkubation Accelerating Program Driven by CHJ and Cisco CRDC were announced to win the 2nd place award in the IASP global competition, achieving the highest award Chinese science parks and areas of innovation have ever won by far.
The Thinkubation Accelerating Program is a collaborative open innovation incubation program where Shanghai Caohejing Hi-Tech Park (CHJ) and Cisco China Research & Development Center (CRDC) share resources, co-incubate and jointly invest in high potential growth startups. This partnership strengthens the innovation capacity of all stakeholders, forming a self-supporting ecosystem consisting of a science park, a big tech company, and startups and SMEs across a range of sectors. Up to now, the program has been effective through 5 high-quality startups ranging from IoT, cloud computing to medical consumers industry.
IASP Inspiring Solutions program is a knowledge sharing competition and a way to recognize best practices within the world of science parks and areas of innovation. IASP arranges the Inspiring Solutions program annually since 2014, in order to get inspiration from good ideas and solutions implemented by IASP members world widely, and seeks to inspire other members. This year the competition was very fierce for the fifth edition. An international panel of experts selected top 10 initial shortlist, and IASP members around the world voted online, choosing the three winners who are most innovative and who most inspire them.
