Chopped Canada Winner, Chef Shelley Robinson, joins Grand Villa Edmonton as Executive Chef‎

Chef Shelley to Debut Culinary Talents at Grand Villa Grand Opening on September 7th ‎

EDMONTON, Sept. 2, 2016 /CNW/ - Gateway Casinos & Entertainment and Grand Villa Edmonton is excited to announce the addition of acclaimed Executive Chef Shelley Robinson to its award winning culinary and entertainment team. Chef Robinson will oversee 7 dining options, including Gateway's signature Match Eatery & Public House and Atlas Steak + Fish, a new fine dining restaurant. She joins Edmonton's newest premier entertainment destination with over 20 years of experience, most recently having served as the executive chef for Coast Hotels in Vancouver.

A co-author of four cookbooks, Robinson has owned and operated two restaurants in Calgary and was a Canadian delegate for Slow Food Canada in Turin Italy. Most recently, she won the Food Network's Chopped Canada and was a competitor on the Food Network's Season Four ‎Top Chef Canada.

Grand Villa Edmonton will open on September 7th, 2016 at 7:00pm and it promises to be an evening to remember. In addition to lots of giveaways, food & beverage specials and a few surprises throughout the night, the first 200 people through the doors at 7pm will get a lucky envelope that could contain up to $100 in Free Play/Match Play. Also, at 7:00pm the launch of the $100,000 Grand Giveaway kiosk will also take place.
