Christopher Skeete announces a consultation tour with a view to developing a governmental plan of action for English-speaking Quebecers Français
ÎLES-DE-LA-MADELEINE, QC, July 23, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - During a visit to the English-speaking community of Grosse-Île, Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Christopher Skeete, Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier for relations with English-speaking Quebecers, is announcing a consultation tour to take place this coming fall, for the purpose of developing a first governmental action plan for relations with English-speaking Quebecers.
The meeting between Mr. Skeete and representatives of the community, brought together by the Council for Anglophone Magdalen Islanders (CAMI), also marks the inauguration of several social and economic development initiatives implemented by the organization. The CAMI is also hosting a meeting of members of the Enhancing Regional Community Capacity project of the Community Health and Social Services Network. Participants will be able to discuss various issues and consider the diverse realities of English-speaking Quebecers. Most importantly, they will be able to propose measures that will make it possible for them to enjoy better quality services in their own language.
