CI Financial announces election of directors and results of annual and special meeting of shareholders

TORONTO, June 12, 2014 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. (the "Corporation") announced the results of matters voted upon at its annual and special meeting of shareholders held June 11, 2014.

At the meeting, shareholders also voted: (i) to approve the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the auditors of the Corporation; (ii) to ratify, confirm and approve the Shareholder Rights Plan Agreement dated May 1, 2014 between the Corporation and Computershare Investor Services Inc.; and (iii) to accept management's disclosed approach to executive compensation.
