CI Financial reports asset growth of 12.9% in 2014

TORONTO, Jan. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported assets under management at December 31, 2014 of $102.9 billion, and total assets of $132.6 billion.

Assets under management grew by $11.8 billion or 12.9% year over year and were down 0.3% in the month of December. Total assets gained $14.6 billion or 12.3% for the year. In comparison, the S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 10.5% in 2014 and down 0.4% in the month of December.

Average assets under management for fiscal 2014 were $98.4 billion, up $15.1 billion or 18.1% over fiscal 2013.

CI also reported assets under administration at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. of $29.7 billion at December 31, 2014, an increase of 10.3% year over year.
