CI Financial reports assets under management

TORONTO, April 1, 2015 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported assets under management at March 31, 2015 of $109.1 billion and total assets of $140.7 billion. Both represented month-end records for CI.

Assets under management grew by $12.7 billion or 13.2% year over year and were up 0.1% in the month of March. Total assets gained $16.0 billion or 12.8% for the year and were up slightly in March. In comparison, the S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 6.9% for the year and down 1.9% in the month of March.

Average assets under management for the first quarter were $106.5 billion, an increase of $5.4 billion or 5.4% from the average for the fourth quarter of 2014 and an increase of $8.1 billion or 8.3% from the average for fiscal 2014.

CI also reported assets under administration at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. of $31.5 billion at March 31, 2015, an increase of 11.8% year over year.
