CI Financial reports assets under management

TORONTO, Feb. 2, 2016 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported assets under management at January 31, 2016 of $107.9 billion and total assets of $141.4 billion.

Assets under management were up 2.3% year over year and down 2.9% in the month of January. Total assets gained 2.2% year over year and were down 2.9% in January. Meanwhile, the S&P/TSX Composite Index declined 9.9% over the 12-month period and fell 1.2% in the month of January.

Average assets under management for the quarter and year-to-date were $108.0 billion, a decrease of 0.7% from the average for the fourth quarter of 2015 and a decrease of 0.4% from the average for fiscal year 2015.

CI also reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $33.5 billion at January 31, 2016, an increase of 1.8% year over year.
