CI Financial reports assets under management

TORONTO, April 1, 2016 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported assets under management at March 31, 2016 of $108.9 billion and total assets of $142.9 billion.

Assets under management gained $2.4 billion or 2.3% in the month of March and declined 0.2% year over year. Total assets were up $3.0 billion in March and were down 0.1% year over year. Meanwhile, the S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 5.3% in March and fell 6.6% over the 12-month period.

Average assets under management for the quarter were $107.5 billion, a decrease of 1.1% from the average for the fourth quarter of 2015 and a decrease of 0.8% from the average for fiscal year 2015.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $34.0 billion at March 31, 2016, representing increases of 1.6% in March and 0.2% year over year.
