CI Financial reports assets under management

TORONTO, May 3, 2016 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported assets under management at April 30, 2016 of $108.3 billion and total assets of $143.0 billion.

Assets under management declined 0.4% in April and 0.6% year over year. Total assets declined 0.2% for the month and increased 0.1% year over year. Meanwhile, the S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 3.7% in April and declined 5.5% over the 12-month period, while the S&P 500 declined 2.9% in April and gained 5.1% over 12 months (in Canadian dollars).

Average assets under management for the quarter-to-date were $108.6 billion, representing an increase of $1.3 billion or 1.2% from the average for the first quarter of 2016 and an increase of 0.2% from the average for fiscal year 2015.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $34.6 billion at April 30, 2016, an increase of 2.5% year over year.
