CI Financial reports record assets under management

TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2016 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported assets under management at September 30, 2016 of $113.2 billion and total assets of $150.5 billion. These are month-end record levels for CI.

Assets under management increased by $7.9 billion or 7.5% year over year and were up 0.7% in the month of September. Total assets gained $11.9 billion or 8.6% for the 12-month period and rose 0.7% in September.

Average assets under management for the third quarter were $112.3 billion, representing an increase of $3.3 billion or 3.0% from the average for the second quarter of 2016. Average assets under management for the year-to-date were $109.5 billion, a gain of $1.2 billion or 1.1% from the average for fiscal year 2015.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $37.3 billion at September 30, 2016, an increase of $4.0 billion or 12.0% year over year.

CI is scheduled to release its financial results for the third quarter of 2016 on November 3, 2016, on CNW Group and cifinancial.com.
