CI Investments honoured with seven Lipper Fund Awards

TORONTO, Feb. 6, 2013 /CNW/ - CI Investments Inc. ("CI") congratulates its portfolio management teams for earning seven 2013 Lipper Fund Awards, which recognize funds that have excelled in delivering consistently strong risk-adjusted performance, relative to peers.
The winners included Portfolio Series Income Fund and Signature High Income Fund, adding to the extensive accolades they have received in recent years. Signature Global Science & Technology Corporate Class and Cambridge High Income Fund were also winners at last night's awards ceremony.
Portfolio Series Income Fund was named Best Global Fixed Income Balanced Fund over three and five years. The fund, which is part of the Portfolio Series program, is managed by CI Investment Consulting, an in-house team of asset allocation experts led by Portfolio Manager Alfred Lam.
Portfolio Series Income Fund also won two Lipper Fund Awards in 2012, as it was best fund in its category for the three and five-year periods. In addition, the Portfolio Series program was named Best Fund of Funds at the 2011 and 2012 Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards.

Signature High Income Fund was named Best Global Neutral Balanced Fund over three, five and 10 years. The fund is managed by Geof Marshall, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Joe D'Angelo of Signature Global Advisors. Signature High Income Fund has received numerous accolades, winning three Lipper Fund Awards in 2012 for the three, five and 10-year time periods, and taking home trophies at the Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards in 2004, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Cambridge High Income Fund, which is managed by Robert Swanson of Cambridge Advisors, was Best Canadian Equity Balanced Fund over five years.
Overall, CI funds and portfolio managers have been the recipients of 33 Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards over the past 10 years and 46 Lipper Fund Awards since the start of the program in Canada in 2007.
