CI Investments provides update on Signature Gold Corporate Class
TORONTO, April 16, 2020 /CNW/ - CI Investments Inc. ("CI") today announced that the merger of Signature Gold Corporate Class ("the Fund") into Sentry Precious Metals Class, which was scheduled to take place this spring, will not be proceeding.
Current market conditions have prompted CI to continue offering the Fund because of its significant holdings in gold bullion. Signature Gold Corporate Class was re-opened to new investors effective April 1, 2020.
The Fund is managed by Lead Portfolio Manager Robert Lyon, Senior Vice-President and Head of Equities at Signature Global Asset Management, CI's largest in-house portfolio management team. It invests primarily in gold and equity securities that provide exposure to gold. The fund may also invest in silver, platinum and palladium and it typically allocates approximately half of its portfolio to bullion and half to securities of gold and other precious metals producers.
