Guests can enter to win an LG 42" LCD HDTV or a $1,000 GIC; $5,000 donation to Station Gallery to mark the occasion
WHITBY, ON, June 4 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, on Saturday, June 5, CIBC will celebrate the grand opening of its new six-day, 7,000 square-foot Taunton & Garden branch which replaces CIBC's former premises on Rossland Road in Whitby.
Guests at the event can enter to win great prizes like an LG 42" LCD HDTV or a $1,000 GIC and enjoy a barbecue by M&M Meat Shops. There will also be fun entertainment for families, including a bouncy castle, face painter, caricaturist and performances by local bands and dancers.
"This new, state-of-the-art branch, open evenings and Saturdays will provide our busy Whitby clients with even more choice in their banking," said Larry Tomei, CIBC's Senior Vice-President of Retail Markets for Central Canada. "We're happy to celebrate our investment in Whitby with clients and the community."
The branch hours of operation are:
Monday - Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Thursday - Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The new branch is barrier free with accessibility features such as sit down teller stations and four Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access and grab bars for mobility assistance.
To mark the occasion, a $5,000 donation will be made to Station Gallery, an organization with a 40-year history of promoting the positive impact of arts and culture in the community. Station Gallery sustains an inclusive, family-oriented and culturally diverse art gallery within the Durham Region and CIBC's donation will support a fourth consecutive year of the 'CIBC Children's Performance Series', targeted to children ages 6-12.
"We've forged a great partnership with CIBC. Together we're bringing fun, vibrant cultural entertainment to kids and their families," said Donna Raetsen-Kemp, Executive Director, Station Gallery. "The CIBC Children's Performance Series is wildly popular with gallery visitors. We're thrilled to be able to continue this kind of innovative, multi-cultural experience. We're truly thankful - without CIBC, innovative programming like this simply wouldn't be possible."
CIBC clients benefit from one of the largest branch networks in Canada, access to more than 3,800 automated bank machines, and 24/7 service by phone, online and through mobile banking.
