CIBC celebrates the grand reopening of expanded Yellowknife branch
Guests can enter to win 50,000 Aeroplan Miles; $5,000 donation to the NWT Literary Council to mark the occasion
YELLOWKNIFE, Dec. 1 /CNW/ - Today, CIBC is celebrating the grand reopening of its newly renovated Yellowknife branch. Expanded by more than 800 square feet, the fully accessible branch on 50th Avenue features state-of-the art facilities, a larger service area, barrier-free design and enhanced privacy features. To mark the occasion CIBC will present a $5,000 donation to the NWT Literary Council.
Guests at the event can enter to win great prizes including 50,000 Aeroplan Miles or a home décor gift basket and can enjoy a barbecue, cake, snacks and refreshments. There will also be fun activities for families, including a caricaturist, a DJ and giveaways.

CIBC's $5,000 donation to the NWT Literacy Council will help to support youth literacy in the community. A territorial, non-government organization, the NWT Literary Council promotes and supports literacy development in all the official languages of the NWT.
"The NWT Literacy Council is very pleased to receive this support from CIBC. We use all of our donations to support community-based literacy programs. In this case, we will be using it for a youth literacy program," said Helen Balanoff, Executive Director,
NWT Literacy Council. "Literacy is incredibly important in today's world - at home, in the community and in the workplace. We need to provide as much support as possible to NWT youth so that they can make the most of opportunities that come their way."
CIBC's new barrier-free branch design includes teller stations that allow clients to sit while speaking to a teller for greater comfort as well as an additional Automated Banking Machine (ABMs) that's installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access and grab bars for mobility assistance.
