TORONTO, Nov. 25, 2015 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX) (CM: NYSE) is pleased to announce that Laura Dottori-Attanasio, Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer, has been named a recipient of the prestigious Women's Executive Network's (WXN) 2015 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, which celebrates and highlights the professional achievements of women across the country in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
"Laura is an exceptional leader who brings her expertise, ideas and passion to our bank every day, helping us to build a strong, innovative, relationship-oriented bank," said Victor Dodig, President and CEO. "She leads through action and is a role model on many fronts, including her outstanding support for our communities. We are very proud to have her on our team."
Recipients are chosen based on their innovative and strategic vision, their organization's financial performance, as well as their commitment to their employees and communities.
Since this is her fourth time to receive this honour, Laura has been inducted into the WXN Hall of Fame. This tribute recognizes Laura's many contributions as an exemplary leader and is a fitting testament to her consistent commitment to our clients, employees, and work in the community. Last year, Laura also became CIBC's Executive Champion of Diversity and Inclusion.
Laura joins Christina Kramer, CIBC's Executive Vice-President, Retail Distribution and Channel Strategy, who was also inducted into the WXN Hall of Fame last year.
"For these highly accomplished women, receiving a Top 100 Award means much more than recognition or a chance to share the spotlight with other remarkable Winners, it's an opportunity to pay it forward," says WXN founder, Pamela Jeffery. "WXN Top 100 Award Winners are powerful women both in their careers and their potential to transcend boundaries to have a greater impact on the communities around them."
The 100 honorees will be honoured at an awards dinner tomorrow in Toronto. A complete list of recipients can be found on the Women's Executive Network website.
