CIBC offers assistance to clients affected by Bay de Verde fish plant fire
BAY DE VERDE, NL, April 13, 2016 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) announced today support for clients in the Bay de Verde area affected by the fire at the Quinlan Brothers fish processing plant. CIBC will look at ways to support clients through this difficult time, including:
- Deferring payments on mortgages, loans and credit card bills;
- Re-amortizing mortgage payments to lower monthly costs; or
- Crediting client accounts for any fees caused by overdrafts, insufficient funds, early withdrawals on term deposits or use of non-CIBC bank machines.
