One of only four Canadian companies to make Corporate Knights' annual global list
TORONTO, Jan. 23, 2018 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) was named one of the world's top 100 most sustainable companies, one of only four Canadian companies to be included on the Global 100 list compiled by Corporate Knights. The announcement was made today at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World is an annual project by Toronto-based Corporate Knights, a media and investment advisory firm, which this year assessed 5,994 publicly traded companies with revenues greater than US$1 billion. Launched in 2005, the ranking is based on 17 key measures of sustainability from publicly available environmental, social, governance and financial data. The 2018 methodology can be found here.
