TORONTO, April 11, 2012 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) has been recognized with three awards in sponsorship excellence in both Canada and the United States.
On April 3, 2012, the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada (SMCC) recognized CIBC's long term commitment to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure with the Award of Distinction in the Cause category. CIBC's involvement with this annual event started with a handful of dedicated and passionate employees, and has grown into an important part of the fabric of our organization. CIBC previously won this award in 2010, 2007 and 2006.
The SMCC also presented CIBC with a Gold Award in the Arts category for its multi-faceted and unique 2011 IIFA marketing campaign which included exciting contests and activations to engage Canadians from coast to coast in the glamour and excitement of Bollywood and celebrate the cultural contributions of the South Asian community.
On April 5, 2012, CIBC received the Corporate Commitment Award at the 'Expect Miracles Awards,' part of the annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards held in New York City. This award recognizes CIBC for more than 15 years as title sponsor of the CIBC Run for the Cure.
