CIBC's 2017 Corporate Responsibility Report and Public Accountability Statement now available Français
TORONTO, March 5, 2018 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) released its annual Corporate Responsibility Report and Public Accountability Statement today which complements CIBC's Annual Report to shareholders by disclosing CIBC's progress in client experience, responsible banking, engaging employees, and community investment - all supported by a commitment to strong governance and integrity.
Highlights of this year's report include:
- Held approximately $1.25 billion in Responsible Investment funds held on behalf of our clients
- CIBC lent $1.2 billion towards financing renewable power projects in the last five years and is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment, a signatory to the Equator Principles, and a member of the Green Bond Principles
- Provided $161 billion in debt financing to help businesses grow
- Achieved an Employee Engagement score of 89 which is 7 points above the global financial services norm
- Increased our Employee Net Promoter Score, which measures likelihood to recommend CIBC as a place to work and do business, by 10 points over last year
- Invested more than $70 million in community organizations across Canada and the U.S., through more than $45 million in corporate contributions and more than $25 million in employee-led fundraising and giving
