The company wishes to thank local heroes for their service while the country faces unique circumstances.
LAVAL, QC, March 26, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Circle K has announced that all its participating Canadian stores will offer free coffee, tea and Polar Pop (in any size) to healthcare workers and first responders – including police officers, paramedics and firefighters – who are currently making a real difference in our communities. This initiative is also extended to Circle K employees in appreciation and gratitude for their work and for being on the front line to serve customers during these particularly difficult times.
In Canada, some 1,800 Circle K and Couche-Tard stores and their roughly 10,000 employees will be offering this small comfort to these local heroes until April 16 (this period may be extended depending on the situation's evolution in the country). Healthcare workers and first responders who visit any participating Circle K or Couche-Tard store will only be asked to present a professional ID card or demonstrate that they are part of one of these groups to receive a cup of coffee or tea, free of charge, without any other requirements.
During this extraordinary situation the world is faced with, Circle K hopes to make a difference by warming up the daily lives of those who show exceptional dedication and are literally saving lives. With its wide network of stores, combined with the Couche-Tard network, Circle K can reach people across the country. This initiative also aligns with the company's mission to make customers' lives a little easier every day – even in difficult days.
