CIRI Transforms Canadian Investor Relations With New Virtual Education Across Canada
TORONTO, Feb. 25, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) today announced that National and Chapter professional development events will be available to investor relations professionals across Canada through live and archived audio webcasts. This provides investor relations professionals with access to capital market and investor relations experts from across Canada at a time that is convenient for them.
"Our decision to virtualize Chapter and National investor relations education as a complement to in-person events reflects a growing need within our industry for increased and flexible access to professional development," said Yvette Lokker, President & CEO of CIRI. "In effect, it means that our members can choose from close to 40 seminars offered annually instead of being limited to 10 or fewer professional development events. This also allows practitioners who live outside the boundaries of our four provincial chapters to take advantage of industry-leading resources."
Effective March 1, 2013, professional development events for the British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec Chapters as well as National will be available for in-person participation in the local regions as well as live webcasts for individuals outside of the regions. Events that are a half-day or more, such as workshops and multi-day conferences, will not be available by webcast. To access CIRI's professional development schedule click here.
Chapter rates for the webcasts will be honoured for all Chapter members regardless of what Chapter they belong to, resulting in considerable member value.
CNW Webcasting was selected during a competitive RFP process to deliver all webcasts.
