City Chase to Launch in Edmonton

2012 Series Blasts Off In Edmonton On May 26

TORONTO, May 17, 2012 /CNW/ - City Chase, The World's Largest Urban Adventure Series is about to embark on a four month odyssey of adventure and adrenaline pumping challenges for over 10,000 Canadians across the country.  It will begin its journey of Laughter, Adventure and Discovery in Edmonton on Saturday, May 26.

In City Chase, teams of two must find and complete challenges hidden throughout Edmonton based on clues they will receive.  Chasers will start at Sir Winston Churchill Square and will do more in 6 hours than most would all summer.

"City Chase is designed to push people out of their comfort zone, showcase the city, it's history and culture," said Nash.  "We design challenges based on four principles: physically demanding, mentally taxing, laughter inducing or just plain jaw-dropping."

Edmonton has become the official launch event for The City Chase Series each year.  This year Chasers will be looking forward to competing against over 1,000 participants.  The winner of each regional event will compete in the 2012 City Chase Canadian Championships in Whitehorse, Yukon where they will endure over 40 hours of grueling competition.  This year's grand prize is a two-week adventure in the Serengeti provided by Intrepid Travel.
