Civic leaders poised to advance transportation debate at CivicAction Forum: Our Region, Our Move
TORONTO, April 16, 2013 /CNW/ - CivicAction will kick off the next phase of its Your32 regional transportation campaign tomorrow at the CivicAction Forum: Our Region, Our Move. The event brings together 300 Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) business, government, labour, academic, and community leaders for a day of discussion and action on transportation investment in the GTHA.
Delegates attending the CivicAction Forum will deliver feedback to Metrolinx and to governments on a number of fronts, including what it will take to earn the public's trust, and how to maximize the impact and benefits of transportation expansion in the GTHA.
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne begins the day with an address on transportation and priorities for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Speakers and moderators represent leading voices in Canada and internationally on urban affairs.
