Quotes:
"The honour of joining CivicAction is all in its name. We all like to point out what needs to change in our cities. CivicAction does something about it. This is an organization devoted to identifying areas where the city can improve, figuring out how we can contribute, then getting it done. Rinse and repeat. I love that."
- Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director, Toronto International Film Festival
25 years in the construction and development industry have taught me that building great cities has nothing to do with concrete, but rather in harnessing the power of people who are aligned around an explicit and common mission. CivicAction defines the mission and mobilizes forces to its neutral sandbox, where ideas can be efficiently subject to experimentation, execution and evaluation. CivicAction will move us forward, and I am privileged to be able to grow my role within this remarkable organization.
- Ken Tanenbaum - Chairman, Kilmer Developments
I'm excited to join the CivicAction board because I truly believe that the vitality of our communities and prosperity of the GTHA region depends on our collective civic leadership across the private, public, and non-profit sectors. CivicAction operates in a way that is true to my leadership mindset - inspiring people to be a force for change by leading them to realize their full potential.
- Beth Wilson - Toronto Managing Partner & Canadian Managing Partner of Community Leadership, KPMG
I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to join the CivicAction board. I sat on their steering committee before becoming a board member — so I've seen first-hand how CivicAction plays a vital role in promoting collaboration among city-building organizations, and improving conditions across our entire region.
