Class Actions Filed Against Volkswagen and Audi

LONDON and TORONTO and QUÉBEC CITY, Sept. 23, 2015 /CNW/ - Siskinds LLP and Siskinds Desmeules today announced the filing of proposed class actions against Volkswagen and Audi ("VW") in Ontario, Alberta and Québec relating to the EA 189 engine.

VW recently confirmed that in regular driving, certain of its automobiles emit 10 to 40 times more than the allowable legal levels of certain pollutants.

The proposed class actions seek to represent all persons who purchased or leased the TDI Volkswagen Golf (model years 2010 to 2015), Jetta (model years 2009 to 2015), Beetle (model years 2013 to 2015), Golf Wagon/Sportwagon (model years 2009 to 2015), Passat (model years 2012-2015), and Audi A3 (model years 2009 to 2015).
