Claude Guay appointed to the Board of Directors of the Société du Palais des
congrès de Montréal
MONTREAL, June 21 2010 /CNW Telbec/ - The Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal is pleased with the Québec Cabinet's appointment of Claude Guay to its Board of Directors.

A 25+ year veteran of IBM, Accovia, Gildan Activewear and PhoCusWright, Guay posseses extensive C-level experience in creating and executing high impact growth strategies that result in rapid market expansion and mainstream adoption of emerging technologies. "Claude is a major international expert in travel and tourism related marketing and e-commerce, and he will prove a key asset for the Palais as it embarks on an intensive push to develop practical and productive state-of-the-art tools for its customers in the coming years," added Liboiron.
Guay is currently the President and CEO of iPerceptions. Formerly from PhoCusWright, he lead research projects and developed strategies focused on deploying effective marketing solutions for companies in the travel and tourism industries. He was Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of Gildan Activewear, and also founded and served as CEO of MTI Services, a management consulting services firm.
Between 2000 and 2005, Guay served as President and CEO of the international travel packaging solution company Accovia. Guay also worked at IBM as a marketing executive in the company's Global Travel and Transportation Industry unit. Widely recognized as an expert in his field and often quoted in travel-related e-commerce and technology publications, Guay has served as a speaker at several conferences for the industry, including Online Revealed, PhoCusWright, ResExpo, TravelCom, Marcus Evans, the Travel Industry Association of Canada, the Cercle de tourisme du Québec and numerous International Air Transport Association (IATA) events.
