Clearfield® lentil and Clearfield sunflower growers have a new tool with SOLO® ADV from BASF
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Canadian growers now have a new, improved version of the popular herbicide, SOLO® WG that has been used to help control tough grassy and broadleaf weeds in their Clearfield® crops. BASF Canada announced today that it has received registration from the Pest Management Regulatory Agency for SOLO ADV herbicide for use on Clearfield lentils, Clearfield canola, Clearfield sunflowers and soybeans for the 2016 season.
SOLO ADV is the only post-emergent broadleaf and grass herbicide for Clearfield crops that offers maximum re-cropping flexibility and easy handling because of its unique liquid formulation with the adjuvant built in. Since its introduction in 2011, SOLO herbicide acres have been growing rapidly as more growers are relying on this herbicide for its superior crop rotation flexibility and excellent weed control.
"BASF is committed to bringing innovative products to the market that help growers maximize efficiency and provide growers with superior convenience, and SOLO ADV is an example of that commitment," said Danielle Eastman, Brand Manager, Western herbicides and Clearfield. "SOLO ADV allows growers to manage their weeds with a new and improved herbicide formulation that is convenient and easy to use."
SOLO ADV controls weeds growing at the time of application and offers exceptional follow-crop safety. In addition, SOLO ADV offers broad-spectrum weed control for Clearfield lentils and Clearfield sunflowers.
"The new SOLO ADV liquid formulation will replace the current SOLO WG dry formulation and will be available for sale in the 2016 season," said Eastman.
