Clearford and Aquion Announce H2Optimo with Crossfire® Technology for the Food and Hospitality Industry
OTTAWA, May 25, 2015 /CNW/ - Clearford Water Systems Inc. ("Clearford" or the "Company"), (TSXV: CLI), and Aquion Inc. of Elk Grove Village, Illinois (Aquion) today announced a co-branded H2Optimo with Crossfire® Technology to deliver UV water purification to the Food & Hospitality Industry being held in Chicago, Illinois.
Erie Water Treatment, a division of Aquion, launched H2Optimo at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago. H2Optimo is a line of water treatment systems, including UV disinfection incorporating Crossfire® Technology, UV Pure's patented UV water disinfection technology. H2Optimo with Crossfire® Technology will be produced by UV Pure Technologies Inc. (UV Pure) of Toronto, Ontario, and co-branded with UV Pure's Crossfire Technology™. UV Pure is a subsidiary of Clearford.
H2Optimo products will be marketed globally by Erie Water Treatment to deliver water softening, filtration and purification systems to deliver pristine water for commercial food and hospitality operations. After thorough review of UV disinfection technologies globally, Erie chose to partner with UV Pure Technologies.
Eddie Garmon, Vice President of Business Development for Aquion and Erie said: "While other manufacturers provide basic water treatment, no other system to date matches the capability that new H2Optimo technology puts in the hands of business managers. Welcome to 'need-based' Wi-Fi enabled H2Optimo filtration and purification. With our new systems, real-time monitoring and reporting will confirm that the H2Optimo systems are working properly. UV Pure's Crossfire ® Technology is proven with over 15,000 installations to date globally, and will effectively treat water that is ten times worse than conventional UV systems can treat. The systems use much less energy than ordinary UV systems, and are 2.4 times more efficient. Crossfire ® Technology is smart, with multiple sensors and can be Wi-Fi enabled. It fits perfectly into the positioning of Erie's new line of H2Optimo water treatment solutions."
Rick VanSant, President and CEO of UV Pure Technologies said: "Erie's new line of products is differentiated by their performance, and smart technology with real-time management of data to optimize effectiveness and reduce cost. Taken together with Erie's global distribution base and 70 year history of innovation, the partnership incorporating our Crossfire® Technology into Erie's H2Optimo UV product line will provide Erie with an advantaged and differentiated UV system and enable UV Pure to leverage Erie's broad sales base, globally. UV Pure will assemble the H2Optimo UV with Crossfire® Technology in its Toronto manufacturing facility. We are extremely pleased and proud to be partnering with Aquion and Erie to provide this system."
