Cliffmont Resources Appoints New Director
VANCOUVER, July 13, 2012 /CNW/ - Cliffmont Resources Ltd. (TSXV: CMO) ("Cliffmont" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Antonio Uribe Hurtado has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Uribe is a Colombian citizen and a retired banker and entrepreneur having spent his professional career focused in Colombia and throughout Latin America. Mr. Uribe worked with Citibank Colombia from 1981 to 1990, retiring as Vice President guiding multi-national companies in the country. He left banking to start a private financial consulting group, Uribe Isaza & Cia Ltd., which operated successfully in the areas of infrastructure development until 2006. He participated in the formation and development of Termoelectrica de La Dorada S.A. and the ARCOS 1 Caribbean submarine cable. Most recently his main focus has been in the Colombian mining sector where he has been an integral part of several major transactions.
Mr. Uribe was a Director of Citicol, Financiera Diamante, Autoniza and is currently President of Aeroclub de Colombia. In the late 1990's, Mr. Uribe established Advance Technologies de Colombia Ltd, the representative in Colombia of Pratt & Whitney, Turbo Power and Marine Division. Mr. Uribe obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1976 from the University of Bogota JTD and an MBA degree in 1979, at Delaware University in USA.
