Clin d'œil magazine nominated for 2016 IMAGE/in award
Breaking beauty stereotypes, the women's magazine is recognized for its industry-changing celebration of diversity and healthy body image
MONTRÉAL, March 1, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Clin d'œil team is immensely proud of the magazine's nomination in the 6th annual IMAGE/in competition. The IMAGE/in award recognizes Québec businesses that support healthy, diverse representations of the human body in fashion, the media and advertising.
In 2015, Clin d'œil decided to embrace diversity. Over the past year, every issue of the magazine has shown non-photoshopped, real-life women of all sizes, origins and ages.
"The Clin d'œil team took up this challenge a year ago in order to break beauty stereotypes," said Lucie Dumas, Vice-President and Publisher of TVA Publications. "They are proud to be trailblazers and to have launched the very first fashion magazine that is committed to encouraging diversity in every issue. This initiative by Clin d'œil is making a tangible difference when it comes to changing representations of women in the fashion media. Diversity is now part of the brand's DNA."
A special issue marking the first anniversary of this important socially conscious move will hit newsstands on March 3.
Selection of IMAGE/in award winners
Winners of the IMAGE/in award will be decided by public vote. Consumers can weigh in on which Quebec industries are the most socially conscious by voting directly on the www.votepourleprix.ca site from February 29 to April 3. The winner will be announced on April 27.
