Closing at Pointe Nord on L'Île-des-Sœurs
Closing of one lane to the Bonaventure Expressway entrance
LONGUEUIL, QC, May 19 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to announce the closing of one of two lanes of a section of the Bonaventure Expressway in the downtown Montreal (west) direction. Traffic will be blocked from Viaduct AB over L'Île-des-Sœurs Boulevard to the Clément Bridge from Thursday, May 20 until Monday, June 7.
During the road closure, Exit 58 of Highway 15 North and the temporary on ramp 2 providing access to the Bonaventure Expressway via the Alexander-Graham-Bell traffic circle will be closed during the night of May 19 and 20 between 10 PM and 5 AM. The temporary on ramp 2 will be closed as of 9 PM.
Please also note that between May 20 and June 7, the functioning lane will be only 3.4 metres wide. Given that limited width, a detour route will be available for trucks during the period, accessible by taking Exit 60 of Highway 15 North for access to the Bonaventure Expressway. Access to the Bonaventure Expressway via Exit 58 will be a single lane leading to the Clément Bridge, and trucks will be prohibited.
