MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 17, 2013 /CNW/ - Closing the Gap Healthcare Group (CTGHG) is thrilled to announce that we have achieved Accreditation with Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada. Accreditation with Exemplary Standing is awarded to an organization that attains the highest level of performance, achieving excellence in meeting the requirements of the accreditation program. CTGHG met 100% of the accreditation standards. What does this mean? It means we are recognized as among the very best in Canada in delivering outstanding care to our clients.
Our Accreditation result is a validation of the extraordinary efforts of our highly dedicated workforce and clinicians, our fully engaged advisory board, and a leadership team dedicated to delivering excellence in health care. A special thank you goes out to Lois Beamish-Taylor, Louise Trussler, Mary Harmsworth, and Erin Banghart for their tremendous contributions to this achievement.
Our surveyors shared incredibly positive stories about their experiences with our workers, our clients, our processes and our incredible successes.
Some highlights include:
- "You are not a healthcare business; you are a healthcare organization who happens to be in business."
- "You have focus and an understanding of why you exist and why you do what you do."
- "You've removed barriers for staff to be able to do what they do best - care for the client."
- "Quality improvement is what you're known for. You live the Quality Charter."
- "You're going to write the next set of standards because you're leaders."
- "You don't just keep improvements to yourselves. You are out there sharing and moving the system."
CTGHG is honoured to have received this FOUR YEAR EXEMPLARY Accreditation; we see this as confirmation that we are "enriching lives and changing tomorrow" and we are on our way to achieving a sustainable healthcare system that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
