Closure of Atwater Exit on Highway 15 South Over the Weekend (February 4 and 5) and other road closures

LONGUEUIL, QC, Feb. 2, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to inform motorists of the closure of Atwater exit (exit 61) on Highway 15 South during the day on Saturday, February 4 from 5 AM to 8 PM, as well as on Sunday, February 5 from 5 AM to 8 PM. This closure will allow for the lifting of the concrete barrier located near the federal section of Highway 15. During this period, road users are asked to take the Wellington exit (exit 60) on Highway 15 South.

Work during the day on the Bonaventure Expressway

Please note that roadwork will be taking place on the Bonaventure Expressway during the day of Friday, February 3. This work will require closure of two of the three lanes of the Expressway toward downtown Montreal from 2 PM to 8 PM and the subsequent closing of two of the three lanes toward the Champlain Bridge from 8 PM to midnight. These closures outside of rush hours will allow for the removal of concrete barriers that had been installed along the central median as part of the roadwork undertaken over the last few months.

Work over the night on the Jacques Cartier Bridge

Finally, please note that steel repair work will be taking place underneath the Jacques Cartier Bridge at night from Friday, February 3 at 10 PM to Saturday, February 4 at 5 AM. Only one lane will be open in each direction on the bridge during this period. Road users are asked to please use the Champlain and Victoria Bridges, as well as the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel during the night of Friday to Saturday.

Please note that these closures could be postponed due to weather conditions and progress of the work.
