Closure of One of Three Lanes on St-Charles St. Underneath the Jacques-Cartier Bridge from August 12th to Mid-November Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 10, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to inform road users that maintenance work on one of the pillars of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge will cause the closure of one out of three westbound lanes on St-Charles St. underneath the bridge starting Sunday, August 12 at 10 PM until mid-November.
Please keep in mind that circulation will be slower since traffic on St-Charles St. towards Saint-Lambert from Longueuil will be carried out on two lanes rather than three. Note that this should not have a major impact on traffic.
This closure will enable the contractor to set up the scaffolding need repair the pillar located adjacent to St-Charles St. This pillar is called pillar number 1 as it is the first pillar supporting the bridge from the South Shore.
