CLOTHESLINE® ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL FALL CAMPAIGN
Canadian Diabetes Association's Clothesline® program challenges Canadians to donate 10 million kilograms of clothing and household items this Fall
TORONTO, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - With a chill in the air, fall is quickly approaching and what to wear for the season is on our minds. The Canadian Diabetes Association's Clothesline® program needs your reusable clothing and small household item donations to reach its goal of collecting 10 million kilograms across Canada this fall. "The evolution of donating" fall campaign kicks off September 9, continuing until November 5. This community driven initiative will help the more than 9 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes.
"We are very proud to celebrate 25 years of service in communities across Canada," said Janelle Robertson, Executive Director, Business Operations, Canadian Diabetes Association. "This fall campaign focuses on letting Canadians know that Clothesline® accepts much more than clothing - items like books, kitchen wares, toys, small appliances and much more are also picked up."
Donors can schedule a free pick-up by visiting diabetes.ca/promise or by calling 1-800-505-5525. When donors call and schedule a pick-up by October 31 and mention the word "EVOLUTION," they will be entered into a draw to win an Apple® Iphone 4*. Clothesline® happily accepts reusable clothing, all cloth based items, shoes, boots, books, toys, kitchen wares, small appliances and much more.
