OTTAWA, Jan. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Dr. Brian Brodie, Chair of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) Board of Directors, is pleased to announce Tim Smith as Chief Executive Officer of the CMA.
Tim Smith has held this position in an acting capacity since December 2013.

Tim has spent the last 25 years working with and leading physicians across Canada. He has spent the last 17 years leading strategic and operational activities within the CMA and its subsidiaries. Over the past year, under Tim's leadership, the CMA underwent a restructuring that saw the creation of a new subsidiary; a transformation of its General Council meeting; and the launch of a new corporate website.
Tim has a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Ottawa as well as a Certificate in Healthcare Administration from the University of Saskatchewan.
The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is the national voice of Canadian physicians.
