CMPA statement on CRTC's revised policy framework for Certified Independent Production Funds
TORONTO, Aug. 26, 2016 /CNW/ - The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) today issued the following statement:
"The CMPA applauds the CRTC's modernization of the framework for Certified Independent Production Funds. The updated policy will allow producers more flexibility to innovate and develop diverse content for the full range of viewing platforms used by Canadian audiences today.
Our members also welcome the potential to access funding for development, promotion, and discovery, as this reflects the comprehensive role that producers play through the entire lifecycle of a project."
