TERRACE, BC, March 5 /CNW Telbec/ - CN announced today that it has donated $15,000 to the Dr. R.E.M Lee Hospital Foundation to help purchase an infant and pediatric ventilator for the Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace.
"CN is pleased to support the Foundation as part of our commitment to help provide a healthier and safer environment for our youth," said Kevin Mau, Assistant Superintendent for CN's BC Mountain Region. "With close to 500 employees in northern BC, CN understands that community investments like this one will benefit children in Terrace and throughout the region."
Mr. Mau made the announcement during a civic luncheon, celebrating the BC Winter Games, which are taking place in Terrace from March 4 to 7. CN, with the BC Games Society, is one of four corporate partners. As part of its sponsorship, CN is a patron Corporate Partner of the Key Volunteer Rally, an event that celebrated the exceptional commitment of the volunteers who have worked hard to make the Games a success.
