CN reaches tentative agreement with union representing engineers on Northern
Quebec Internal Short Line
MONTREAL, Oct. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE:CNI) announced today that it has reached a tentative labour agreement with the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) union representing locomotive engineers who work on the Company's Northern Quebec Internal Short Line (NQISL).
The agreement, retroactive to Dec. 15, 2009, would apply to 45 employees, providing them wage increases and benefit improvements. Details of the agreement are being withheld pending ratification by TCRC members.
NQISL locomotive engineers are based at the Garneau, Chambord/Jonquiere, and Senneterre terminals.
